Dhanachuli is a 6 -7 hour drive from Delhi, depending on the traffic conditions and the time of day you start. The drive is fairly straightforward, with the option to drop-off the highway from either Moradabad or Rampur.
There are three trains from Delhi to Kathgodam leaving from Old Delhi station or Anand Vihar terminal. The train has AC 1st class, two and three tier coaches. The resort is a 90 minute drive from the Kathgodam station.
Here's the most popular route to Dhanachuli:
From Delhi take NH 24 and drive via Gajraula till Moradabad, after taking the Hapur Bypass. Take the Moradabad Bypass and continue driving on NH 24 towards Rampur. Just after the Rampur railway station turn left on NH 87 towards Bilaspur. Continue on the NH 87 to Udham Singh Nagar (Rudrapur), Haldwani , Kathgodam and Bhimtal. After Bhimtal, turn right from Krishi Dwar towards Padampuri and drive on to Dhari and Dhanachuli. At the Dhanachuli bend, turn right for Te Aroha.
If you are traveling by train, the resort can arrange for a pick up and drop from Kathgodam station for an additional charge. However, advance booking needs to be made with the resort to avail of this facility. Regular private taxis are also available from the station.
